Morebattle is a friendly Borders village, nestled in the Cheviot hills with a mix of facilities to make a great holiday, stunning countryside, a pub which serves good food, and a grocery store
The village is 10 minutes drive from either Kelso or Jedburgh, which have a range of shops, restaurants, swimming pools and an ice rink, or if you wish - Edinburgh is a little over an hour away

 Sitting Room (4.8m x 4.5m) A sunny spacious room which overlooks the church yard and on to the Cheviot Hills. There is a Victorian cast iron and pine open fire, and wrought iron spiral staircase to the upper floor. Stripped pine doors are throughout the cottage and lead from the sitting room to the kitchen and the hall. There is a comfortable 3 piece suite, a widescreen TV complete with DVD and Video player

 Sun Room (2.60m x 2.3m) southwest facing room with dining table and views of the garden. Perfect for eating or relaxing on a sunny day with a book or newspaper

 Kitchen (4.0m x 2.5m) To the rear of the cottage, the kitchen has views to the garden. It is fully equiped with a fridge, cooker, washing machine and tumble dryer

 Double Bedroom (5.0m x 3.2m) Front facing ground floor bedroom with double bed, twin wardrobes and pine bedside cabinets. The room also features another fireplace

- We welcome well behaved pets to Kirkgate - please enquire about our policy
- Rental price is inclusive of all heating and electicity, bed linen and towels
- A deposit of £100 is payable upon booking, and the balance on arrival
- Additionally, a security deposit of £100 is payable on arrival. This will be refunded at the end of your holiday upon satisfactory presentation of the cottage

From the North - A68 South from Edinburgh then as below
From the South - A68 North from Newcastle then as below
- 2 miles north of Jedburgh, at Bonjedward turn onto the A698 to Kelso
- Proceed for approximately 4 miles until you reach the Teviot Smokery
- Turn right onto the B6041 to Morebattle
- In Morebattle take 2nd left into Heughhead
- Kirkgate Cottage is on the left opposite the church
